Boost Your Savings with HSA/FSA Funds

HSA/FSA accounts allow you to use pre-tax money for diagnosed medical conditions or preventative care. Because these funds are pre-tax, you get more purchasing power for your dollars. Rather than paying income tax first, qualified customers can use pre-tax funds to invest in root cause interventions. To learn more about how to qualify and maximize your savings, check out our HSA/FSA eligible mattress guide.

FAQ

How does using my HSA/FSA account save me money? Plus

HSA/FSA accounts were created so individuals could use pre-tax money to pay for expenses used to treat, mitigate, or prevent a diagnosed medical condition. Because HSA/FSAs use pre-tax money, you’re getting more purchasing power for your dollars. Rather than pay taxes on income and then spend it on health items, qualified customers can use pre-tax funds to invest in their health.

An individual can contribute up to $4,150 pretax to their HSA per year, or $8,300 for a family (plus an additional $1,000 if you are at least 55 years old. Individuals can contribute up to $3,200 pretax to their FSA per year (with an additional $500 in employer contributions allowed).

What are FSA and HSA accounts? Plus

Health savings accounts (HSA) and flexible spending accounts (FSA) are programs that allow you to set aside pre-tax dollars for eligible health-related expenses. If you’re unsure whether or not you have an HSA or FSA account, please check with your employer or insurance company.

How do l pay with my HSA/FSA card? Plus

At the "Payment" step, select "TrueMed - Pay with HSA/FSA".

Complete a brief (2-minute) health survey. If approved, you can enter your HSA/FSA card details to complete the purchase immediately.

Can luse my regular credit card at checkout instead? Plus

Absolutely. If your HSA/FSA card is declined or you prefer to earn credit card rewards, simply use your regular card. After checkout, TrueMed will provide you with a Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN) and a detailed receipt. You can then submit these to your HSA/FSA administrator for direct reimbursement.

What if l don't have enough HSA/FSA funds to cover the full amount? Plus

If your HSA/FSA balance is insufficient, we recommend paying for the full order with your personal credit card. You can then submit the receipt and your LMN to your administrator to withdraw whatever balance is available in your HSA/FSA account.

What is a Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN), and how long does it take to get one? Plus

An LMN is a formal document issued by a licensed clinician stating that a product is necessary to treat a medical condition. This is required by the IRS for your purchase to be tax-compliant. The review is typically processed within 24 to 48 hours, and your LMN will be sent directly to your email.

What if only part of my order qualifies? Plus

The TrueMed clinical survey evaluates your entire cart. If certain items (like a mattress) qualify but others (like decorative bedding) do not, the clinician will issue an LMN for the qualifying portion. You can still pay for the full order and seek reimbursement for the eligible amount.

Are there any extra fees for using TrueMed? Plus

No. Sweetnight covers the cost of the clinical evaluation and LMN as a complimentary service to our customers. You only pay for the products in your cart.

Hi.I don't live in the U.S. Can l still use TrueMed? Plus

Unfortunately, TrueMed’s services and HSA/FSA tax benefits are currently only available to customers residing in the United States.
